What happens if I cancel?
Your first 3 stories stay yours forever, even if you cancel. New recordings, the full book read-through, and writing new blessings pause until you come back.
Everything you’ve already created, including the audio, stays in your account.
Can I edit a story after it’s saved?
Yes. Open any chapter, tap Edit, and change any word. Your audio stays untouched — only the text changes.
Who can read my stories?
Only you, and the family members you invite into your Family Circle. We never sell anything, and we never share your stories with anyone you didn’t add yourself.
I’m a family member — how do I read someone’s book?
The storyteller will send you an invite link. Tap it on your iPhone or Android phone, install Legacy of Faith, and you’ll be added to their Family Circle automatically. You’ll see only their chapters — you can’t change anything.
How do I get the hardcover book?
Open the app → Account → Order the hardcover. It’s $129. We print it after you order and ship it within about two weeks. Available in the U.S. and Canada at launch.
What is Memorial Mode?
When the time comes, a family member can switch the book into a permanent memorial. New recordings pause. The book displays the storyteller’s name and dates of birth and passing. Existing stories are kept exactly as they were — nothing changes.
You can switch Memorial Mode back off if it was set by mistake.
What if I forget my password?
There’s no password to forget. We sign you in with a 6-digit code we email you whenever you ask. You can also start by signing in anonymously — useful if you just want to try the app.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time. Open the app → Account → Delete my account. Your stories, recordings, photos, blessings, and Family Circle are permanently removed in seconds. We do not keep a soft-deleted copy.
How do you transcribe and shape my stories?
We use OpenAI Whisper (via Groq) to transcribe what you spoke, then a large language model with a strict prompt that preserves your voice and wording. The AI only cleans up filler and adds gentle paragraph breaks — it never invents events, names, or feelings you didn’t say.
Where is my data stored?
Your text, audio, and photos live in a private Supabase project in the United States. Your recordings and photos are kept in owner-only encrypted buckets — only your authenticated account can access them. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
