By using Legacy of Faith you agree to these terms. They’re written to be plain and fair. If anything is unclear, write to hello@legacyoffaith.app.
1. What you can do
You may use Legacy of Faith to record, shape, and keep your own faith stories, blessings, and prayer requests; to invite family members to read your book; and to order a hardcover keepsake. Personal, non-commercial use only.
2. Your content stays yours
You own every word, photo, and audio recording you upload. We do not claim any rights to your content beyond the limited license required to host it, transcribe it, shape it into chapters, and show it to the family members you’ve invited. You can revoke this license at any time by deleting the content or your account.
3. What you agree not to do
- Upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, is unlawful, or violates another person’s privacy.
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any technical restrictions.
- Resell or commercially redistribute another storyteller’s content shared with you via Family Circle.
4. Subscriptions
The free tier includes the first three complete stories — those stories remain yours forever, even if you don’t subscribe. Beyond that, a paid subscription is required to record new stories, read the full book, create blessings, or export everything.
Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play. They auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel at any time in your device’s subscription settings — your access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We do not refund partial periods. Apple and Google may have their own refund policies.
5. Hardcover book orders
The hardcover book is a one-time purchase fulfilled by a print provider. We’ll ship within roughly two weeks of order confirmation. If the book arrives damaged or different from what you ordered, write to us within 30 days for a replacement.
6. Family Circle
When you invite a family member, they can read the chapters you’ve marked “kept,” but cannot edit or delete your content. You can revoke their access at any time from the Family Circle screen. They cannot redistribute your content outside the app.
7. AI-generated content
The app uses third-party AI models to (a) transcribe your audio, (b) shape your transcript into a written chapter, and (c) answer your questions in the Bible companion. These outputs aim to preserve your voice and faithful intent, but they may contain errors. Review every chapter before you keep it. You are responsible for the final content saved to your book.
8. Memorial mode
If a designated owner (or, after the storyteller’s death, a family member granted the right) turns on Memorial Mode, the book is sealed: no further recordings, no deletions. This is intentional and may not be reversed without contacting us.
9. Disclaimers
Legacy of Faith is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every country. We make reasonable efforts to keep your data safe and backed up, but you should also export periodically.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the app is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater.
11. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time inside the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms; we’ll give you notice and a chance to cure unless the violation is egregious or unlawful.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Your state/country], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If we need to litigate, we’ll do so in [Your county/city].
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app before they take effect.
